Hi, my name is Sam - I am a drum circle facilitator. Welcome to DRUMIN.CA!
My passion is to bring support and wellness to Canadians through drum circle facilitations. Working with my wife Karen, who is a Board Certified Music Therapist, we have been providing regular Drum-Circle services for Caregiver support groups, Nursing Homes, Adult Day Programs across GTA and have also supported other communities & religious organizations using music.
I grew up in a musical family and started my training at the age of 3. I believe in the universal power of music and have personally witnessed how music can sweeten one’s life through music therapy sessions.
I furthered my musical journey by studying the Art of Rhythmic events under Nellie Hill and Arthur Hull of Village Music Circle in the United States. Nellie is a key officer member of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild. She is a Remo endorsed professional Drum Circle Facilitator and founder of Playful Spirit Adventures. Arthur is a world-renowned percussionist who is widely known as the father of modern facilitated drum circle. I became a Trained HealthRHYTHMNS facilitator in 2021 and continue to work under Christine Stevens, MSW, MT-BC, who is an internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and music therapist as ONLINE HealthRHYTHMS Training Assistant.
I am an active member of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild.
